In The Happiness Factor and in the seminars Kirk Wilkinson introduces 8 simple steps to complete and lasting happiness. It is called the P-E-A-S-E-F-U-L approach to be happy—a restorative set of principles that are unforgettable and universally applicable. As you learn and practice these principles you will dissolve the negative effects of stress, depression, anxiety, relationships and the other barriers being happy. The acronym P-E-A-S-E-F-U-L is used as a way to remember and use the principles of The Happiness Factor. Click on any letter or word in the circle to learn more about the 8 simple steps of the P-E-A-S-E-F-U-L approach.
This principle
teaches how being happy starts on inside with what you think about.
In a few short exercises you can literally change your mind to think
positively about yourself and others. Your circumstances transform
from problems to opportunities. Your thoughts and thought framework determine your
happiness. Learn how changing what you think about enables you to be
happy. This principle teaches that how you deal with others is by and large a major factor in being happy. Learn how to interact with others on a more positive level and you will enjoy almost immediate benefits. Emotional generosity is the quality of being kind and welcoming and understanding of people around you in all of their limitations, imperfections, and flaws. (Back To Top) This principle will teach you how to resolve what you are experiencing and how to reach your greatest desires. So often being happy is blocked by denial. We have a hard time understanding why things happen to us or why great things happen to others when we deserve it just as much. To get past denial we must first accept what is., live in real-time and not the past or the future. Acceptance does not mean agreement; it is a way to get past denial and into action. (Back To Top) Abundance is the mindset that there is plenty for everyone. Abundance is an escape from greed, jealousy and envy which are barriers to being happy. Those things are literally dissolved as you learn to develop and practice an abundance mindset. With this principle you will learn how to achieve abundance in 4 steps. (Back To Top)
The power of surrender is that you already have the
solution to your problems and challenges. Surrender means you don’t
have to face the world alone. No matter what you are facing, whether
it be divorce, abandonment, depression, anxiety or just generally
feel unfulfilled or unsatisfied. You can face those problems knowing
that a Higher Power is helping, guiding and encouraging you. Empowering yourself and others Being happy requires your active participation. The Happiness Factor empowers you to be more productive and effective by leaving the heavy lifting to God while you do what you can. The best thing you can do for those around you is to be happy. As you become happy you will empower those around you to see you differently, act differently and be happy themselves. (Back To Top) Forgiveness will bring you unimaginable peace and confidence. Your mind will become clear and you will be able to love more deeply, and you will be at peace with yourself and others. You will have a higher self-esteem and self-worth. You will be healthier and have more energy. You will learn that forgiving takes practice and that you can forgive any offense. (Back To Top) “I choose to Underreact” is an empowering principle that can bring peace to any situation. Underreacting is a skill that can be learned like any other skill. So often we overreact to our circumstances preventing us from seeing the solution. Underreacting usually means that we will have a more appropriate response to what happens to us. (Back To Top) Love is all that is real. Anything and everything else is an illusion. Any action or response is either love or a cry for love. Love brings with it the power to dissolve all negativity and conflict. (Back To Top) Benefits to learning and practicing the P-E-A-S-E-F-U-L approach
